Jessica Robinson:
“There are days where I would question myself and what I was doing but the rewarding moments are always worth the rocky road.”

Jessica Robinson, a Houston native, has spent the past seven years living in New York City where she started her modeling career while studying Public Relations at NYU. Additionally, she studied Trend Forecasting at Parsons in Paris. Jessica leveraged her education, passion for style and fashion and experiences from traveling and opened a fashion showroom in the Garment District of New York City. Jessica’s business aided in developing emerging and international designers through Public Relations and Brand Awareness and she was able to successfully promote client’s designs and business by landing red carpet and television appearances as well as magazine and editorial placement. Jessica recently moved back to her hometown of Houston and recently opened a women’s Fashion House in Rice Village.

VH: Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?

Starting a business from the ground up comes with a lot of stress but it keeps you on your toes. I learned a lot in New York and the city thickened my skin taught me to be fierce and confident in anything I do. There are days where I would question myself and what I was doing but the rewarding moments are always worth the rocky road. Feeling great after a show, a photoshoot and seeing my dream business come to life keeps me going and reminds me that it is worth it.
